Grow With Us

Your hands, our soil, a healthier St. Joseph.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of St. Joseph Community Gardens. Since 2017, neighbors like you have helped us maintain our three garden sites and greenhouse to provide free, organic food for local families. Whether you are a master gardener or have never touched a shovel, there is a place for you to make an impact.

Ways to Help

  • Garden Maintenance Help with weeding, planting, and harvesting at one of our three community sites. No experience required—we provide the tools!

  • Greenhouse Support Assist in our greenhouse to help start seedlings and manage the early-season growth that feeds our community.

  • Garden Ambassadors Serve as a liaison in your neighborhood to help strengthen communication and local leadership within our garden network.

What to Expect

  • No Experience Needed: Our team provides all the training and tools you need to succeed.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Join us for a one-time “Work Day” or commit to a weekly shift.

  • Family Friendly: We encourage families to volunteer together—it’s a great way for kids to learn about nature!
